Tidal Wave

Have you ever imagined being hit by a tidal wave? I've had a couple of dreams before, where I got hit by a huge wave...perhaps a tidal wave...and it was very scary and unnerving. Disorienting even. There was a feeling of no control and panic. I was unprepared for it and I didn't like it.

Now...I'm sure most of us have been hit by small waves at some point in our lives. Especially if you live near the ocean like I do. Even small waves can be somewhat scary, disorienting and unnerving...I mean...the ocean is very unpredictable! When you're out in the ocean, you can't really predict if a wave is going to be big or small, strong or slow and smooth. You can't quite predict exactly when they are going to appear. Again, very unpredictable. Nature is like that.

But, no matter what, they keep coming. Wave after wave after wave. For hundreds of years, waves have been hitting the beaches...over and over.

I'm bringing this up because I feel like I've been hit by a tidal wave the past few days...over and over and over.

I don't like it. I don't feel good. I feel exhausted and worn out. I feel wobbly. I feel unstable. Not good. Life is like that sometimes.

It just got me to thinking how the world is kind of like waves at times. It can be scary, unnerving, disorienting and unpredictable. Sometimes it feels like you have no control and that can cause you to panic. But the world just keeps going...day after day.

Do you know how to escape a tidal wave? Go to higher ground! Do you know how to escape the waves of life? Seek out higher ground! The Lord is our higher ground! Leave the waves below and behind. God is our only safety, security and escape from life's tidal waves. I'm praying that God will save me from this Tidal Wave feeling. I'm praying for calm.

About Me

_F2A9653_edited.jpg

I’m Lori Balderas, I created this podcast for those who are converting, reverting or simply want a FRESH perspective of the Catholic faith to help them to open their hearts and minds to become closer to the love and goodness of Christ.

I converted to Catholicism at the age of 49.  It was, by far, the best decision I’ve ever made! I don’t claim to be an expert or Theologian, but what I DO know is that my heart is bursting with love for the Lord and I want others to feel the same way!

I feel impassioned and drawn to Evangelize people by sharing my experiences and transformation that have gotten me where I am today.

I will be sharing my personal conversion story and speaking with others about theirs.
