Saturday Morning Dates with Jesus

I have a new thing I'm doing...Saturday morning dates with Jesus!

After I attend Mass and I make sure everyone and everything is taken care of in the church, I head over to our little chapel and go to Adoration. Just walking out of the church and across the parking lot brings me excitement that I am about to be "up close and personal" with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

When I walk in...I immediately feel a sense of calm and peace. I can feel Him there with me. Usually only one Adorer is there, so it's extra quiet and calm. I enter in, go up to the kneelers, kneel down and sometimes cry. I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude and love for our Lord. I pray, but then...I just listen. I listen to what He has to say to me. Sometimes He's silent, but that's okay...I know He's there. I imagine Jesus sitting on the Altar having a conversation with me. Looking at me with tender and forgiving eyes.

This Saturday morning date is very meaningful and powerful to me. I look forward to it every week and It helps me to really focus on what's important. To feel the warmth of God's presence and love for me. I leave there feeling like I can take on the world!

About Me

_F2A9653_edited.jpg

I’m Lori Balderas, I created this podcast for those who are converting, reverting or simply want a FRESH perspective of the Catholic faith to help them to open their hearts and minds to become closer to the love and goodness of Christ.

I converted to Catholicism at the age of 49.  It was, by far, the best decision I’ve ever made! I don’t claim to be an expert or Theologian, but what I DO know is that my heart is bursting with love for the Lord and I want others to feel the same way!

I feel impassioned and drawn to Evangelize people by sharing my experiences and transformation that have gotten me where I am today.

I will be sharing my personal conversion story and speaking with others about theirs.
