Jesus Always

I have a routine every morning for preparing myself for the day and for serving God in the best way I can.

I like to take my time and not be rushed. I like the calm and quiet.

I do a lot of praying in the morning. I like to pray the Rosary and also say prayers for the people I know who are struggling in mind, body & spirit. I pray for all of us to find love, peace, unity, healing, forgiveness and reconciliation in this negative world we are living in. I pray that my husband and I will have financial security and quality of life and I pray that our divided family will be united.

I have a little stack of books I turn to and read every morning. One is a little blue book my Beloved Poppy (my Dad) gave me called, "Daily Strength for Daily Needs". It was his book from when he was a young boy. The copyright is 1928, the year after he was born. This book is very dear to me, not only because it was his and he gave it to me...but also because it has a little photo of him inside the cover and his (very distinctive) signiture also. His Saint Christopher tie clasp is on the back cover. This is a true treasure to me and starts my day off thinking of him. I even say, "Good Morning Poppy" and give the photo a little kiss.

I also have a little red book called, "Daily Meditations with the Holy Spirit" that my husband gave me for Valentine's Day years ago. It is very short, to the point and has thoughts about the Holy Spirit in our day to day.

I read a chapter out of my beautiful Bible that I love that my husband gave me for our first Anniversary (paper) and then I read a book I absolutely LOVE called, "Jesus Always". This book was a gift to me from a lovely friend. She said she thought I needed it and it had gotten her through lots of hard times. She knew I was struggling and needed to hear the voice of Jesus. I was so touched that she was willing to give me her copy!

It's a daily devotional...I read it everyday without fail.

Each daily entry is exactly what I would hope and imagine Jesus would say. I truly feel like it's HIM speaking to me! And what's even more magical is that if I'm having a particular problem or stress...or have just been praying about something...the daily entry will be exactly the perfect thing I need to hear! It's AMAZING!!

It makes me laugh out loud sometimes and reminds me that He is really listening to me and this is how He is giving me reassurance.

I highly recommend getting yourself this book and maybe Jesus will speak to you through it too!

About Me

_F2A9653_edited.jpg

I’m Lori Balderas, I created this podcast for those who are converting, reverting or simply want a FRESH perspective of the Catholic faith to help them to open their hearts and minds to become closer to the love and goodness of Christ.

I converted to Catholicism at the age of 49.  It was, by far, the best decision I’ve ever made! I don’t claim to be an expert or Theologian, but what I DO know is that my heart is bursting with love for the Lord and I want others to feel the same way!

I feel impassioned and drawn to Evangelize people by sharing my experiences and transformation that have gotten me where I am today.

I will be sharing my personal conversion story and speaking with others about theirs.
